Ryan and I took advantage of celebrating our one year wedding anniversary in the best way possible – traveling to Seattle, Washington. We’ve both spent a good chunk of time on the west coast but never in the beloved Evergreen State and it did not disappoint!
We spent the first four days of our trip exploring the city. Residing in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, the quiet streets filled with blossoms were perfect for walking in the early morning or late evening. Between the neighborhoods, local parks and the Japanese Gardens, we got a real lovely taste of Spring after such a miserable Winter.

On the second leg of our trip – we scooped up our rental car and drove way up north to explore all the beauty the great state of Washington has to offer. That mesmerizing tulip field will forever have a place in my heart – who doesn’t love a flower field that color blocks! Incredible. The warmth, breeze and overwhelming floral smell will stay with my forever.
For our last two nights we posted up in the Mount Baker area besides North Cascades National Park – though at higher elevation there’s still plenty of snow, we were able to see some pretty spectacular sights.
If you haven’t already, check out this incredible video Ryan put together.
We’ll definitely be back. ~*~Go Hawks~*~
